International Accreditation Office (IAO)
Even though Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS) was widely recognized in business education within the country, the School was determined to continuously improve itself to respond to the fast-changing business environment and education and become recognized internationally.
The International Accreditation Office at CBS was established in 2010 with the mission of coordinating with all the related parties and stakeholders in order to obtain and maintain world’s prestigious accreditations. An international accreditation that is recognized and accepted globally is a proven mechanism to improve and confirm the high quality level of the School in producing highly sought after graduates. Such accreditation provides well-tested framework that can lead to effective curriculum management, assurance of teaching and learning, and coordination with other stakeholders to fulfil the School’s mission.
In 2015, it was the first time CBS was granted international accreditations from the two most recognized accreditation institutions in the world: Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) from the US and European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) from Europe. The School was granted AACSB accreditation, and in the same year two of its business programs were granted EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) accreditation. Later on in 2019, the School was granted EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation by EFMD. To assure that the School maintains its high quality according to the world’s accepted standards, reaccreditation teams from both AACSB and EFMD will periodically come to visit and assess the quality of the School. It is the International Accreditation Office’s mission to ensure successful visits and (re)accreditations.
